This is one of my favourite projects. I've poured so much time, love, and care into it.
La Puerta del Tiempo is a webcomic series I created from scratch. It tells the story of Julie, whose life changes dramatically after she finds a mysterious necklace. The necklace holds the power to travel through time, and suddenly, Julie is transported to the early 20th century. Now she must figure out how to return to her own time, and why she was sent there in the first place.
This project brings together so many things I love: storytelling, history, character design, and illustration. I started with research into the fashion and setting of the early 1900s to help build a believable world. Then I wrote the script, sketched the storyboard, and once I felt it all fit, moved on to the digital illustration phase, line-work and colouring.
It’s still a work in progress, and I’m planning to release an English version in the future as well. But one thing’s for sure: this story will continue. It’s one I really believe in, and I’m excited to keep bringing it to life.
